Gulf Shores Fishing Report - June 2024
In Gulf Shores, fishing conditions are excellent as summer kicks off. Anglers targeting red snapper are reporting good catches offshore, especially around artificial reefs and deeper waters. King mackerel and Spanish mackerel are active closer to shore, with anglers having success using live bait and trolling near the reefs and along the Gulf State Park Pier.
Speckled trout fishing remains steady in the bays and estuaries, particularly during early mornings and late evenings when they are feeding closer to the surface. Flounder are also being caught around the sandy bottoms and inlets.
Weather conditions have been favorable, with mild winds and clear skies, making for comfortable fishing trips. Water temperatures are in the mid-70s Fahrenheit, ideal for a variety of species.
