Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Fishing Info
About Another Fish Charters
Where does Another Fish Charters fish?
We fish the Gulf Shores area, including Gulf of Mexico, Orange Beach, Fort Morgan, Perdido Key & beyond.
What are the target fish?
Target fish include King Mackerel, Redfish, Sheepshead, Southern Flounder, Spanish Mackerel. The fishing in the stretch of the Alabama Gulf Coast from Orange Beach to Gulf Shores is excellent pretty much all year. The peak time of year to fish in Gulf Shores is from May through September. At this point in the year the Redfish can be located in the inshore waters of Gulf Shores in big numbers. When it comes to targeting Redfish in these inshore waters we use a few different techniques. One of the best techniques to target Redfish in Alabama is using live bait. The live bait we use for Redfish is also effective for catching Sheepshead and Flounder in Gulf Shores as well. Primarily for live bait we use Croakers, live Shrimp and Pogies. When it comes to fishing for King Mackerel in Gulf Shores we find trolling to be the best option. We are always happy to answer questions about the seasonality of the fish species that we target on our Gulf Shores fishing charters so dont hesitate to check out our Gulf Shores Fish Species Calendar or give us a call or send us an email!
